Children may be enrolled throughout the school year. Lone Oak Montessori School strives to maintain a balance of both age and sex within a classroom. Therefore, children are accepted from the applications on file so as best to maintain this balance. Siblings are given first priority. In the event that there is more than one child who meets the age and sex requirements of the class at a given time, the child who best meets all the admission criteria and has the earliest application date will be chosen.

Children between 2 to 4 years of age at the time of admission will be considered for enrollment. Children between 4 and 12 years of age at the time of enrollment and transferring from other Montessori schools are also eligible.

A child must be in good health. The school must receive all health records before the child's first day of school. The child must be toilet trained (with the exception of children in the Toddler program), although occasional accidents are to be expected.
